Mission Statement

Vue Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded by Charly Helleputte and Julie Scheurweghs, located at the Rivoli in Brussels. With a primary focus on photography, the gallery also embraces other visual arts when they resonate with its vision and mission. Conceived as a multi-purpose art space, Vue Gallery hosts exhibitions alongside talks, gatherings, and cultural events, fostering dialogue across disciplines and communities. The gallery works with a core roster of artists while also inviting artists on a project basis and collaborating with other galleries to present practices that align with its values. In addition, Vue Gallery houses a small consultable library and an intimate bookshop, encouraging slower engagement with images, ideas, and critical thought.

At Vue Gallery, we are dedicated to placing women in the picture. Our mission is to represent and support FLINTA artists (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-binary, Trans, and Agender) We champion feminist perspectives in photography and visual culture that challenge dominant narratives, expand visual language, and question entrenched power structures. We believe in the power of images to shape culture, and in the urgency of making space for voices that have too often been overlooked or excluded.

More than an exhibition space, Vue Gallery is a platform for critical reflection, celebration, and solidarity. Through exhibitions, conversations, partnerships, and shared learning, we cultivate a collaborative ecosystem where artists, curators, thinkers, and audiences come together. Grounded in equity, creative freedom, and care, Vue Gallery is a community built on the conviction that art can be a powerful tool for transformation.
